Hi. My name is Rob Goldberg and my company, East Bay Digital Sound is a San Francisco East Bay entertainment company offering live sound and lighting support for all events, along with Professional DJ/MC and Karaoke services.

EBDS was started in late 2013 but the experience behind the company is anything but recent. I have over 40 years of experience as a professional musician/entertainer, formally trained sound and lighting technician, and professional DJ/MC.  I have also held a high tech computer position in a major corporation for over 30 years.

Whatever type of event you have coming up, I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to work with you to create a great entertainment package, at a great price, that will provide you with all of your entertainment needs at the best prices available in the Bay Area, with no hidden extra charges.

I am not a typical mobile DJ. I am an entertainment company offering concert quality sound systems, concert quality lighting systems including laser light shows, state of the art DJ equipment, and access both before and during your event to the largest music libraries on the planet (over 12 million songs). I use $40K worth of state-of-the-art equipment for my events. Other DJ's can just dream of owning the kind of equipment I use as a standard part of my package.

My laser light show projector is the type used in many large concert venues. I had to acquire an FCC license to operate it legally. You won't find laser lighting like this with any other mobile DJ's. And don't think laser means wild flashing lights all over your venue. While they can certainly do that, a professional operator of a high end laser can create beautiful romantic images that you won't see anywhere else.

When you hire EBDS to provide an entertainment package for your event, you are getting a great DJ. But you're also getting a professional sound and lighting technician with 40+ years of experience as a tech and as an entertainer. You can't find many DJ's with that kind of experience in the entertainment industry.

I am the most professional person you could do business with. My standards are the highest. I am always onsite DJ'ing and using all of my years of sound and lighting experience to ensure that your entertainment comes off smoothly and professionally. I am there to ensure that every little detail of your entertainment goes exactly as you want. And I am very easy to do business with.   •  Travel to/from your venue if the venue is within 75 miles each way from Martinez. If more than 75 miles each way, a small surcharge will be applied, but if appropriate, it will already be included in the quote you receive.
  •  As many phone planning sessions as you need.
  •  A professional sound and lighting technician (Rob) at your event to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  •  Multiple sound systems (i.e. wedding ceremony outside and reception inside).
  •  Wireless microphones (hand held, lavalier, and headset).
  •  Projection equipment for slideshows and videos (High Definition wireless projector and 105" High Definition screen). In fact I am even willing to help you make your slideshow if you'd like.
  •  Background music during any portion of your event (counted against the time you hired me for).
  •  Professional Master of Ceremony services.
  •  Internet connected music services at your event, allowing me to download any requested song during the event (12 million songs available).
  •  Extensive dance floor lighting and effects, including wash lights, haze machine, strobes, moving head lights, and even remote wireless lighting. And remember, I now have the most advanced mobile laser light show you will ever see a mobile DJ show up with. You will be absolutely amazed at what you'll get to see from this incredible machine and at no additional cost to you.
  •  Up-Lighting at no additional charge. In fact I recently purchased a $7K, state-of-the-art, remote controlled up-light system which absolutely makes a room look beautiful and I am still offering this as part of the standard package. Try to find anyone else doing that. 



I am fully licensed and insured (proof provided upon request). This is important because many venues will not allow vendors to work who do not carry business licenses and liability insurance.


Payments are also easy to make as I accept all major credit cards by phone, in person, or through this website. I also accept personal checks for deposits and final payments.
